New Ventures and Directions:
DECEMBER, 2024
This has been an intresting year. My husband and I moved from our home of forty years to a brand new senior living community not far from our old home. We have a beautiful apartment and almost everything we could wish for, except more space! We do have two bedrooms, one of which is my quilting space, with a wall of fabric and lots of projects waitin to be finished. I am still designing but no longer as a business. It is time for me to slow down and do what I enjoy most, including experimenting with new designs and art forms.
My 'famous' Take Four placemat pattern is still in the top twenty Best Sellers at QuiltWoman.com, for which I am very proud!
I have two quilt related novels selling on Amazon and the sequel almost ready to publish. It was seriously delayed along the way by a bad fall and broken shoulder, flowed by surgery and a shoulder replacement. I am almost back to normal. Onward and upward!

I am still designing and making quilts, but I am no longer publishing and selling written instructions or patterns.
My "Take Four" placemat pattern is still selling well after being first introduced in 2009 and being named Number One Best Seller for quiltwoma.com for 2009 and 2010! I remains my best setting pattern after 12 years!

DECEMBER 2014
I have been working on writing a novel over the past several months and hope to have it completed and published by the end of 2015, if not sooner. It is about a quilter who grows up in rural 19th century NH and the creative legacy she leaves for the generations that follow her.

March 2011
The Quilter Magazine published an article in the April 2011 issue about the New England Quilt Designers' Cooperative, of which I am a founding member. It is a terrific article that describes how six independent professional quilt designers came together to form a very successful marketing venture as a group. We vend at many guild shows throughout New England and hope to expand our reach in the months to come. Over the course of the last five years we have become great friends as well as professional colleagues.

December 2010:
Asian Fabric magazine has published another of my quilt designs: "Koi By Moonlight" in their Issue #21. It is a lovely, atmospheric wall hanging featuring a large print fabric from Kona Bay of Koi swimming among Chrysanthemums. It has complete written instructions and great diagrams. Please visit http://www.konabay.com/ to see this issue.
This design will be released as an individual pattern in spring, 2011.

January 2010:
I am excited to announce that I have a design and pattern instructions for an elegant wall hanging published in Asian Fabrics magazine (published by Kona Bay and Seattle Bay fabric Co.) Asian Fabrics magazine is the first quilt publication to publish one of my designs and I am very grateful. The quilt features a dramatic large scale print and coordinating fabrics, all from Kona Bay.
Please check out Issue #18, with a tiger on the cover symbolizing the beginning of the Chinese New Year. You can find my design on pages 48-51. This issue also features many other beautiful Asian inspired quilt projects and, as a special treat, also includes the newest additions toKona Bay's many wonderful fabric lines.
If you do not already subscribe to this fabulous quilt magazine, check at your local LQS or order it directly online from www.konabay.com
Take Four Pattern named #! Best Seller at QuiltWoman.com!
My "Take Four" placemat pattern was recently named #1 Best Seller out of the top 20 Best Selling patterns for all of 2009 and 2010 at QuiltWoman.com (out of more than 600 patterns that Nancy Dill carries on her QuiltWoman.com site.) in 2008 my "Moon Glow" pattern was one of the top ten best selling NEW patterns for that year.
I have taught both of these patterns numerous times and students have loved working on both of these very different projects.
Fall 2009 - New Patterns and New Projects:
I have a wonderful new pattern out for quick and easy placemats. it is called "Take Four" because it takes four coordinating fat quarters to make the tops. (See Patterns page for details) Like all my patterns, it is available on this site at retail and at www.quiltwoman.com for wholesale and distributor orders.
I am working on several other quilt designs that will make wonderful baby/child, large lap or bed size quilts. I plan to introduce these new patterns at the spring International Quilt Market in Minneapolis next April 2010. Stay tuned!
